When Amazon Merch expanded their operations to Amazon.co.uk & Amazon.dein 2018, most sellers were excited but also a bit confused about how this would work.
I was personally a bit upset as I was already uploading my Merch catalog to Amazon.co.uk as FBM products fulfilled by the Printful integration.
Once Amazon Merch enters the market, the likelihood of me selling anything FBM drops to almost 0. People love their Prime shipping!
That said, there was clearly money to be made here (just not through FBM t-shirts anymore). Those that uploaded early probably profited most from the lack of competition.
In 2019, it's been around long enough that the competition has caught up and many sellers have made their catalog available on these two European markets.
UK & DE Markets
As of writing this article, only Standard T-Shirts are available on UK & German markets.
The base cost of the shirt varies by market:
- United States: $13.07
- United Kingdom: €11.72
- Germany: €13.30
Keep in mind that various things like regulations, taxes, & shipping prices will lead to variable base costs (that Amazon passes on to us, the seller & we have the option of passing on to the buyers).
Uploading to UK & DE
Using the new Create Multiple Products (BETA) upload process, offering your designs in Europe isn't too difficult.
Prior to the multi-uploader's existence, you had to go through the single product creation wizard over and over again (as I did, 13,000+ times).
Today, you can upload to all 3 Merch markets at the same time. Here's how:
- Click the "Select Products" button & make sure ".co.uk" & ".de" are checked

- If you want to use a list price other than the default, enter it here
* click to expand
- Your English product details will be submitted to Amazon.com & Amazon.co.uk - you'll want to translate into German for Amazon.de
* click to expand
That's it! The new multi-product wizard is infinitely better than the previous upload process.
