πŸ’° Income Report: April 2017

By on

I made my first sales on both Amazon Merch and Amazon FBA in April of 2017, making modest profits of $57.01. It wasn't much, but it was validation nonetheless.

Amazon FBA

Profit: $42.54
Gross Margin: 25%
2017 πŸ’° Profit to Date: $42.54

This was a huge month for me. I made my first sale since beginning my journey as an Amazon FBA seller months prior.

While the profits were small and unimpressive, I was dead set on pursuing this business model knowing that down the road I would scale it up to a much bigger number.

It's also worth noting that I got incredibly lucky and received a 5-star review on that first sale!

Amazon Merch

Revenue: $72.95
Royalty: $14.47
Avg. Royalty: $2.89

I got into Amazon Merch in March, but honestly didn't know much about it and definitely misunderstood its money making potential - you could say I was sleeping on Merch big time.

Towards the end of the money & early April I started uploading one shirt per day until I maxed out at my limit of 10.

My initial niche that sold was related to the TV show South Park. Often times popular shows have great quotes that you can slap right onto t-shirts! Just make sure they're not trademarked first (tmsearch.uspto.gov)

Dropshipped Print-on-Demand

Sales: 0
Profit: $0
2017 πŸ’° Profit to Date: $0.00

At this point in time I was just getting started with print-on-demand and was not aware of that fact that I could list made-to-order products on platforms like Amazon, eBay, & Etsy.

Google Ads

Earnings: $147.05
Page Views: 351,057
Ad Impressions: 1,217,670
2017 πŸ’° Profit to Date: $147.05

I run a few popular websites where I collect advertising revenue via Google Ads (formerly Google AdSense). I also collect revenue via direct partnerships with advertisers & from affiliate links, but for times sake, I'm going to omit those deals.

I won't be doing month-to-month write ups here because I don't spend much time maintaining these websites. They started out as passion projects that allowed me to become a better web developer, but today I spend very little time working on them.
