June 2019 was a big step in the right direction for my passive income journey with strong numbers across the board, spearheaded by big Amazon FBA product sales.
My June sales experienced a nice bump from my newest SKU that went live in mid-May adding to both the revenue & net profit.
My best selling SKU did 599 sales on the month, generating $13,927.65 in revenue & $4,129.20 profit (29% gross margin).

I had 3 SKUs doing 5-figures revenue & 9 SKUs doing between 3-4 figures profit.
There's nothing wrong with semi-successful SKUs that bring in a few hundred dollars of profit each month!
New SKUs
Here's an update on my two most recently launched SKUs:
SKU #1 This was the SKU that got off to a terrible start due to the factory leaving a protecting film on the clear panel built into it. Well, unfortunately it's time for me to liquidate it - buyers simply don't like the product (due to that film!). I've never had this happen before, but there's a first time for everything.
SKU #2 This SKU went live in mid-may and continued strong sales for a new product. I've increased the price once or twice, as it was substantially cheaper than the competitors offers.
SKU #3 This has the potential to generate 6-figure profits, but inventory arrived at Amazon at the very end of the month, so look towards the July income report to find out more about how it's doing.
PPC Advertising
And here's my Campaign Manager statistics from Seller Central:
Spend: $2,245.46 $285.47 MoM
Sales: $6,706.32 $1,547.63 MoM
ACos: 33.48% 9.73% MoM
With PPC dollars being pumped into my low-priced new SKUs, it should come as no surprise that this month's advertising campaigns performed worse than May's
This is expected with new product launches:
You have no sales history & need to pay to get in front of potential customers, & your value proposition is likely going to be your price.
All of my June top-sellers were evergreen designs.
I'm not running AMS ads to my products, so all sales were organic (I do still run some AMS ads to FBM products that I sell through the Printful integration.

Dropshipped print on demand profits were down-13.3% from May to June.
I'm not sure as to why... My Etsy sales fell from 175 in May to 112 in June - a decrease of 36%.
I spent most of the month experimenting with different % off sales applied across all of my listings... I can't imagine how this would impact sales so negatively, which makes me hesitant to blame it as the root cause.
I've got some digging to do.
Here are my Etsy Promoted Listing analytics for for the month:

Spend: $420.34 $12.88 MoM
Revenue: $1,688.28 $113.42 MoM
ACoS: 24.9% 0.9% MoM
CPC: $0.109 (avg bid: $0.11) $0.016 MoM
CTR: 1.25% 0.05%
The metrics weren't too much different month over month - only slightly worse across the board.
I kept my CPC ceiling bids the same @ $0.11, and Etsy got as close as possible in my avg cost per click with it working out to $0.109 (a hundredth of a percent off the upper-range).
My 5% volume discount from May sales was active all through June, which added a nice +5% profit margin.

This was the third month in a row that I achieved over 5,000 in Printful sales, unlocking a 5% volume discount that will take affect in July.

I run a few popular websites where I collect advertising revenue via Google Ads (formerly Google AdSense). I also collect revenue via direct partnerships with advertisers & from affiliate links, but for times sake, I'm going to omit those deals.
I won't be doing month-to-month write ups here because I don't spend much time maintaining these websites. They started out as passion projects that allowed me to become a better web developer, but today I spend very little time working on them.
My name is Ryan & at age 30 I quit my day job. I worked full time as a Sr. Front End Web Developer for 8 years, & still work part time as an adjunct professor teaching web development at a local university.
Both of my day jobs were awesome!
But that can't shake the fact that I'm completely addicted to the idea of building passive income streams that would allow me to retire from ever working a 9 to 5 job again.
I'm going to use this website as a platform to share every detail about my deep dive into how to make money online, which so far, have included making $53K passive income profit in 2017, followed by over $130K profit in both 2018 + 2019 & then $175K in 2020. Since then, my annual income has continued to grow year over year.
I've invested hundredsthousands of hours into this journey and learned a ton.
While I share the vast majority of information for free, I do reserve certain tools, tips, and tricks exclusively for students that enroll into the online courses that I offer.
