January was pretty uneventful.
My profit-driving brand continued to lead the way, but there was a new seller in my niche making it harder on me by selling basically the exact same products that I sell with the same variations.
As a result, I've been having to lower my prices to compete, & run a 5% off coupon at all times to stand out in the SERP.
Here are my most profitable SKUs on the month (name omitted):

And here's my Campaign Manager statistics from Seller Central:
I should have been pulling back some of my bids on my newest SKU which was responsible for pulling up my ACoS to an ugly 37%.
(I was definitely over-bidding, but was guilty of not paying enough attention)
- Spend: $1,504.13 $430.51 MoM
- Sales: $4,007.47 $441.77 MoM
- ACos: 37.53% 7.42% MoM
My profit numbers that I publish here take into account my ad spend, so know that when you see my profit, it's accurate.

January is "return month".
If you remember my January 2019 income report, I had an incredibly high 43 returns.
This year was a lot better, which only 18 returns from December sales.
The only real highlight of the month was selling 12x of a single shirt to 1 customer. Funny enough, that same shirt has sold 20x in a single sale before (priced @ $17.99).
The design is a single word in distressed text.

Uploads Update
15,110 / 20,000
I cracked the 15,000 mark and have 5,000 uploads to go before maxing out my 20,000 upload slots.
I'm only uploading unique designs to standard t-shirts only to fill my last 11,000 slots (started back at around 9K / 20K).

I'm continually uploading throughout every day to my Amazon Seller Central account via the Printful integration.
For some reason, for the past ~1.5-2 months it's taken much longer for the new listings to be created on Amazon's catalog.
In an attempt to avoid getting throttled, I almost always wait for the previous listing to finish (no more "incomplete" listings showing on my inventory tab).
I've probably only been getting ~4-5 new products pushed per day & I've been hoping that Amazon gets it sorted out.
Big Problem w/ FBM POD Listings: Hijackers
Dealing with hijackers is something all Amazon sellers do... but one person in particular has been especially annoying.
He hijacked 200+ of my listings
Yes, you read that right: over 200. He's cost me thousands of dollars of profit, because he only goes after my most successful listings.
For instance, in early January I caught a hot trending hat and made some very nice profits... but they were short lived because the hijacker jumped on it & undercut me that day.
Here's my Printful sales chart for my Amazon (.com) Seller Central account:

I'll keep you guys updated on if I can "deal" with them and regain control of my listings.
(I have some ideas, especially since he's not using the Printful integration, so some of the products are like not what they should be, for instance, the Bayside 3630 should be made in America. I'm guessing he's not shipping the right hat when people buy from him & he has the buy box).
Here's a breakdown of my profit from my top 4 platforms:
- Amazon (.com): $1,215.17
- Redbubble: $144.70
- Amazon (.co.uk): $124.05
- Teepublic: $32.75

Sales: 262
Profit: $512.18
Avg. Royalty: $1.95
2020 π° Profit to Date: $512.18
$512.18 of profit was generated on 262 sales @ an average royalty of $$1.95 per paperback book.
Not too much to update you guys with, other than that I hit 1,000 uploads per week each week in January except 1.
(Real life got in the way, but I still got around 500 books up).
Beyond that, I'm perfectly happy with these numbers.
Currently I'm prioritizing maxing out my Amazon Merch upload slots, and converting the Merch designs into KDP book covers... because, why not?
Once my Merch slots are full, I have a lot of really good ideas to mess around with for new KDP low content books (all scalable, to ensure I hit the 1,000 books per week limit!).

Unsurprisingly, the US market lead the way, followed by the UK & then Spain / Canada.
If you'd like me to show you how I went from $0 to exceed $3,000+ profit selling low-content books on Amazon, you're in luck.

By selling "low content" books, we avoid spending time writing the content for book interiors & instead focus on selling notebook-style paperback books to various niche markets. Trust me - it works!

I run a few popular websites where I collect advertising revenue via Google Ads (formerly Google AdSense). I also collect revenue via direct partnerships with advertisers & from affiliate links, but for times sake, I'm going to omit those deals.
I won't be doing month-to-month write ups here because I don't spend much time maintaining these websites. They started out as passion projects that allowed me to become a better web developer, but today I spend very little time working on them.
