Redbubble is my #2 highest priority marketplace to sell print on demand products on.
It functions very similar to Amazon Merch:
- It's 100% FREE to use (no credit card required)
- It functions as its own marketplace with organic & paid traffic (they advertise for us, for free)
- hey do 100% of the work! fulfillment, shipping, & customer service
- You simply upload designs & optimize the listings around relevant keywords
Using Redbubble could not be easier.
My account used to have a ~400 product upload limit per day, but it looks like they recently pulled that back to less than 100 / day.
Either way, It's a great opportunity to make passive income online.
Use Redbubble Tags To Increase Sales
This shouldn't come as news, but:
Your sales volume will always be relative to the visibility your products get.
The relationship can be described as the more visibility you get, the better.
(People can't buy your product if they never see it!)
That's why there's so much value in ranking at the top of search results... listings that load at the top of the page get the most visibility.
Every e-commerce website has their own unique algorithms for determining who ranks at the top.
Organically ranking as #1 on the primary keywords associated with your listing often requires lots of positive sales history paired with a high conversion rate.
conversion rate = turning lookers into buyers
While I can't promise you that you'll ever reach the #1 spot on competitive keywords, I will promise that getting your listings indexed on additional keywords will increase the impressions it gets in the SERP (search results).
Using Redbubble tags is a great way of getting your listings indexed on both primary & secondary sets of traffic driving keywords!
Tag Recommendations & Limits
The product listing title is usually weighed the heaviest in search rank algorithms on most websites.
Redbubble outright tells us that it "makes it easier for people to find your design based on their searches"

They placed a tooltip on the Tags section that says:
Tags are how your audience finds your work. Use 15 relevant tags per upload. Use tags that your audience would search for to find your work, including your name. Make sure to separate tags with commas. Kinda, like, this.
* click to expand
As you can see, they straight up tell you to "use 15 tags per upload", which is curious that they actually allow you to use up to 50 though.
Using simple logic, the more tags your listing has associated with it, the more search results it will be indexed on, giving it a higher likelihood of selling!
Thanks DJ Khaled, I do feel pretty smart right now.
But you guys also know that I'm a stickler for efficiency & streamlining processes to make them take as little time as possible (time is money!)
That's where the tag generators come into play.
Redbubble Tag Generator [FREE]
Coming up with 50 tags per upload would take forever. Heck, even coming up with 15 would take forever!
No worries - as usual, I have a solution :)
My friends at Merch Titans Automation recently released a Redbubble tag generator tool that you can use 100% FREE!
After you seed it with primary keywords it'll look at the best selling Redbubble products associated with those terms & return a list of the most commonly used tags amongst the best sellers.
From there, it's a simple copy+paste into your listing that will instantly increase your organic exposure in search results on the platform.
* click to expand
* Note: It often spits out more than 50 results. If you want exactly 50 you'll need to count them to make sure you don't use too many (I used Notepad++ to do a count on commas ",").
I heard that they're going to enhance it in the future to label the # of results, making it even easier to use. It'll likely be parsed out into something like 5 / 25 / 50 results, as each POD platform has different tag limits.
Also, while we're on the subject I'd like to mention how easily the Redbubble tag generator works in conjunction with the Merch Titans Automation uploader (read more »)
I genuinely feel bad when I don't talk about it enough, because it's THAT much of a game changer.
Stop wasting time manually uploading!
