On Fiverr.com, you can find a wide variety of "gigs" (services) that cost you around - you guessed it - $5.
It's exploded in popularity over recent years, as it connects the parts of the world that consider $5 USD a "livable" sum of money with those fortunate enough to have $5 to spend outsourcing a gig.
Over time, they've increased their service fees. Today, no matter the cost of a gig, you'll spend at least $2 (in addition to the gig price) to pay Fiverr's fee.
One gripe I have with their fee structure is that if you decide to tip the person you purchase from, Fiverr adds ANOTHER additional fee to the tip! :(
The result of those fees?
As of June 2019, Fiverr is now publicly traded!
In short: Fiverr is a great place if you're looking to hire someone to take some work off your plate, and if you're the CEO, you're now incredibly rich.
Amazon Merch Gigs on Fiverr
Fiverr.com has been on my radar for almost 10 years as a cheap place to get almost anything done online, but it carries a negative stigma as it relates to Amazon Merch.
This is because people have been known to steal designs from Amazon's catalog & re-sell them as pixel-for-pixel (P4P) copies to buyers on Fiverr.
Unfortunately, the average well-intentioned person has no way of knowing whether the designs they're buying are authentic & original, or rip-offs.
The potential result of listing a P4P copy on Merch can be devastating to the poor person that thought they were paying someone for original designs.
Thus, I don't recommend buying designs off Fiverr without vetting the designers first to ensure that they're:
- Actually good at designing
- NOT stealing work
In my video walkthrough, I was browsing Fiverr with the intent of finding an Amazon Merch account for sale.
Here are a few examples of gigs you can find:
* click to expand
- Help create a Merch by Amazon account (& get approved)
- Merch by Amazon online course (from someone with questionable English)
- Merch t-shirt designs + descriptions
- Merch t-shirt designs + descriptions + keywords
- T-shirt research
- PopSocket designs
- T-Shirt design
- Bulk t-shirt design
I'm constantly receiving requests for help from international people attempting to get a Merch account but facing rejection after rejection.
Recently though, someone who had reached out for helped followed up with me and said they were able to buy a Merch account on Fiverr (they didn't say for how much).
I was intrigued, and decided to record my search for a second-hand Merch account.
By the way - while I'm on the subject, I should mention that if you purchase a Merch account because you were unable to get in the "normal" way, then you should use Payoneer to handle receiving payouts from Amazon.
Beyond that, it's worth checking out just in case you find something unexpected that could help take your Amazon Merch business to the next level!
